Welcome to Edinburgh College Library

Our collections and resources cater to all curriculum areas and our library staff are here to help you develop your information literacy and research skills.

Campus Libraries

As an Edinburgh College student you can access all four College libraries across our campuses. Granton Library, Milton Road Library, Sighthill Library and a small library at Midlothian campus. 

Our libraries have: 

  • A variety of open access and bookable study spaces both individual and group use  
  • Computer access (Macs and PCs) 
  • Photocopying and printing facilities 
  • Laptops are also available to borrow within the libraries or you can bring your own device.  

As part of your Induction to the College, your lecturers will arrange a Library tour. You are also welcome to visit your library anytime where staff will be on hand to support you with using the library resources and facilities.

Online Library

 eCore – Edinburgh College Online Resource Enquiry tool is the ideal place to start searching for physical and online library resources available to you, including sources that you won’t find elsewhere. 

Using eCore, you can access:

Subject Research Guides

The Subject Research Guides, available through Moodle, are curated guides to help you find useful quality resources and information tailored to your area of study. 

Your Subject Research Guide can support you with: 

  • Starting, and broadening, your research 
  • Online Resources for your subject 
  • Discovering new sources including videos, images, articles, and audio 
  • Supporting you in developing research and referencing skills.
