What is Academic Support?
Within the library we have dedicated staff to support your development of information literacy skills. Information literacy encompasses a range of skills which are not only vital for your studies but are important for entering and succeeding in the workplace. Digital literacy, evaluating information, critical thinking, and understanding how to find, access and communicate information are essential skills for study, work and life.
At the College our Academic Library Liaison staff support your information literacy learning by developing your skills in Research, Information Evaluation, Referencing, Plagiarism, Copyright as well using and accessing library resources.
Skills such as referencing and research are essential for successful learning. Below you will find short online courses which introduce you to Referencing, Plagiarism and Copyright – with an online Research course coming soon. Your department may also arrange for your class to have Referencing and Research sessions with your Academic Library Liaison.
If you have questions about research, referencing, finding subject specific information, our Academic Digital Library Liaison team are always here to support you.
