Library Introduction Events

In addition to tours and inductions booked by lecturers, our library team also run events for staff and students to familiarise themselves with the library spaces and resources in a more relaxed way.

These events are designed to introduce the library as a welcoming and inclusive space for learning.

The event for 2024/2025 took place at Granton Campus was aimed primarily at Creative Industries students.

Library Introduction Event 2024/2025

This DIY interactive activity is based on these Eki train stamps where stamps are collected in books across the city’s stations – Upon entering the library participants will be invited to pick up a piece of paper with library information and will be supported to fold it into a zine. Participants will then be encouraged to explore the library to find various ‘stations’. At each station they will be able to explore a collection or complete an activity, then stamp their zine with a stamp which has been carved by a member of the library team.
